Overview: Vermont requires a State permit to connect a residence or business to a public or private sewage disposal system.

Exception: Connection to a new municipally owned system that is currently being constructed does not require an individual permit in most cases. 

Hogg Hill Design LLC handles permits to connect to existing sewage treatment district systems. Coordination with the sewer district is required in addition to a permit application to the State.
